BALLON D’OR 2026
All eyes were yesterday on the 70th edition of the BALLON D’OR 2026 into the London Palladium. Harry Kane won the wide-open race for the men’s award before Kylian Mbappé and Lamine Yamal to take the prestigious individual honor. On the women’s side, Alexia Putellas took home a third career Ballon d’Or title (after 2021 and 2022), beating Ewa Pajor and Khadija Shaw.
Spain and spanish club’s dominance (FC Barcelona won 6 Awards !) was a major point in the night : Luis De La Fuente took best men’s coach award after his World Cup win and Père Romeu from Bacelona received the best women’s coach award. Unai Simon and Cata Coll were named best Goalkeepers for their performances with Spain and Barcelona. Lamine Yamal and Vicky Lopez won the Kopa Award of the best talents awards like last year. Barcelona won also best women’s club award, only Paris SG (best men’s club award) could avoid a total spanish domination.
Harry Kane and Charlyn Corral won the Gerd Muller Award, being the best Goalscorers of the season. Great moments.
