Arsenal’s second-longest winning run in UCL group stage
Arsenal failed to set a new Champions League record for the longest winning streak in the group (or league) stage. The Gunners were stopped at 14 consecutive victories—the second-longest such streak in the competition’s history.
The record remains held by Bayern Munich (17 consecutive wins between 2020 and 2023).
It was just Bayern that halted the winning run of Mikel Arteta’s side, holding them to a draw (2-2) on the third match-day (21 October).
Arsenal’s run includes the final 4 matches of the league phase in the 2024–25 season, all 8 in 2025–26, and the first 2 of the current season.
Meanwhile, Arsenal continues another long streak—an unbeaten run across all rounds of the Champions League, now spanning 18 matches. The Gunners remained undefeated throughout the 2025–26 campaign (15 games) when they lost the final to PSG on penalties and have since added another 3 matches to that tally.
The Champions League record in this category belongs to Manchester City: 26 matches without defeat between 2022 and 2024
