Madjo, new youngest scorer in European finals

Aston Villa’s Brian Madjo set a series of new age records in the UEFA Super Cup game vs PSG (1-2) on 12 August.
*Aged 17 years 212 days, Madjo became the youngest player to start a game in the competition history.
*By notching the only goal of his team, he became the youngest scorer in the competition history, overtaking by far Patrick Kluivert who scored for Ajax in 1996 at 19 years 220 days.
*Yet, what is even more impressive, Madjo is now the youngest ever goal-scorer in the history of the finals of all major European club competitions. The previous record belonged to Jimmy Greaves and stood for no fewer than 68 years.
Greaves scored in 1958 for London selection in a Fairs Cup final against Barcelona XI being 18 years 13 days old.
Remarkably, all 3 youngest goals in this category, before the Madjo’s feat, occurred just in the Fairs Cup.
