8,4 SECONDS !

Fastest goal in Bundesliga history

Augsburg midfielder Robin Fellhauer entered yesterday the German Bundesliga history (since 1963) by scoring in just 8.4 seconds after kick-off against Bayern Munich (2-2).
Fellhauer capitalised on a Manuel Neuer’s blunder. The Bayern veteran goalkeeper received the ball from the center circle in what was the first pass of the game, before taking a touch and attempting to lift it over Fellhauer, but the latter took it off his toes and around Neuer to tap the ball into the empty net.
This goal eclipsed the former fastest Bundesliga goals scored by Karim Bellarabi, who took 9.2 seconds to score for Bayer Leverkusen against Borussia Dortmund in 2014, and Kevin Volland, who needed 9.4 seconds to find the net for Hoffenheim against Bayern in 2015.
