Alajbegović scores World Cup youngest long-range goal 

Bosnia’s teenager Kerim Alajbegović became yesterday in the game vs Qatar (3-1) the youngest player (18 years 276 days) to score a goal from outside the box in the World Cup history. 
He beat the record previously held by Kylian Mbappé since 2018 (a long range goal in the final game vs Croatia at 19 years 207 days).

*Alajbegović is now also the 2nd youngest player to score in the 2026 World Cup, behind Ibrahim Mbaye (Senegal, 18 years and 143 days).
The next is Lamine Yamal (18 years and 343 days).
