Bayern’s vice-record for goals in a season
As the new German Bundesliga season approaches, we look back again at Bayern’s remarkable goal-scoring record during the 2024–25 campaign.
Vincent Kompany’s (PICTURE) team netted 184 goals across all competitions: 122 in the league (significantly improving the league’s record), 17 in the cup, 2 in the Super Cup, and 43 in the Champions League.
This stands as the second-highest tally in the history of European football. Only Barcelona managed to score more goals in a single season—190 in 2011–12. Notably, Bayern played 55 matches during their prolific campaign, whereas Barcelona played 64.
Taking third place on podium is Northern Ireland’s Linfield, with 180 goals in the 1933–34 season—a record achievement in Europe for the XX century.
