The FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup 2026 takes place in Poland since 5 September to 27 September 2026. Matches will be played across four Polish cities:
- Łódź
- Bielsko-Biała
- Katowice
- Sosnowiec
With matches taking place throughout September, football fans will have plenty of opportunities to follow the tournament and see the next generation of women’s football talent in action. The 2026 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup features 24 teams from around the world.
The teams have been divided into six groups:
Group A: Poland, Argentina, Mexico, Benin
Group B: Brazil, Tanzania, Canada, England
Group C: France, Korea Republic, Ecuador, Ghana
Group D: Japan, New Zealand, USA, Italy
Group E: Korea DPR, Portugal, Costa Rica, Colombia
Group F: Spain, Nigeria, New Caledonia, China PR
With teams from Europe, Asia, Africa, North America, South America and Oceania taking part, the tournament will bring a wide variety of football styles together. The 2026 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup isthe 12th edition of the tournament.
The reigning champions are Korea DPR, who won the 2024 tournament in Colombia. It was their third U-20 Women’s World Cup title, making them one of the most successful teams in the competition’s history.
The tournament has also featured players who later became stars in senior football, including Alex Morgan, Salma Paralluelo and Hinata Miyazawa.
