Most successful coaches in the Champions League
Having won the Champions League with Paris Saint-Germain for the second season in a row, Luis Enrique has become one of the most successful coaches in the history of the competition. He now has three trophies, including the one he won with Barcelona in 2015.
The Spaniard shares 2nd place among his colleagues in the historical ranking, which includes the period from 1955 to 1992 (European Cup).
Only Carlo Ancelotti, now head coach of the Brazilian national team, has won the tournament more often (5 times). He won also 4 IFFHS Awards for THE WORLD’S BEST CLUB COACH, here the Award 2024 (picture).
Luis Enrique also became the most successful coach in the PSG history (12 trophies, both national and international), ahead of Laurent Blanc (11).
His another extraordinary feat: he has won 15 of his 16 single-leg finals at club level in all official competitions.
