Marquinhos, already 2nd trophy-winner behind Messi 

Paris Saint-Germain defender and captain Marquinhos (Marcos Aoás Corrêa) has won the 41st trophy of his career following his team’s victory in the 2026 UEFA Super Cup.
In doing so, the Brazilian has become the joint-second most decorated player in the history of football, tying Dani Alves, who holds 41 trophies.
Lionel Messi remains the world record holder, having won 44 tournaments. However, given the pace at which Marquinhos is catching up to Messi—and his relatively young age (32)—it is clear he has an excellent chance of claiming the record for himself pretty soon.
Marquinhos has won 40 tournaments with PSG:
11 French league titles,
8 Coupes de France,
6 Coupes de la Ligue,
9 Trophées des Champions,
2 Champions League titles,
2 UEFA Super Cups,
1 FIFA Intercontinental Cup.
In addition, he won the Copa Libertadores with Corinthians (in 2012) and the Copa América with Brazil (in 2019).
The ranking takes into account only top-level senior football tournaments.
A trophy is credited to a player if he held at least one match in the corresponding tournament. For this reason, 2015 Trophée des Champions (the French Super Cup) is not counted to the collection of Marquinhos.
