Lewandowski missed chance to surpass Puskás
Robert Lewandowski, who left Barcelona at the end of the 2025–26 season, fell just two goals short of matching the La Liga record for goals scored after turning 35.
RL9, who recently began playing in MLS for his new club, the Chicago Fire, scored 60 times in the Spanish league after turning 35, whereas Ferenc Puskás netted 62 such goals (for Real Madrid).
