*Harry Kane has become England’s all-time leading goalscorer at the World Cup with 11 goals, overtaking Gary Lineker (10).

*Jude Bellingham became the youngest player (22 years and 363 days old) to score and provide an assist in a World Cup match for England.

*Following Bellingham’s goal, Real Madrid stands alone as the club that has contributed the most goals to the World Cup (11), ahead of PSG (10).

*Jordan Henderson, with his first appearance in this edition, became the first ever England player to feature at four World Cups and play at seven major tournaments.

*England have fielded a starting XI for a World Cup match with four players from non-English clubs for the very first time (Jude Bellingham, Harry Kane, Marcus Rashford and Jarell Quansah).

*Panama are the third national team in the history of the World Cup to finish without points while conceding only 4 goals, after:
Iraq in 1986 (1-4)
Japan in 1998 (1-4)

*Panama remained the only one of 48 teams at World Cup 2026 who failed to score goals.
They are the first team to fail to score a goal at a World Cup since Algeria and Honduras in 2010.
The last teams to record neither a point nor a goal during a World Cup appearance were Saudi Arabia and China in 2002.

Croatia vs Ghana 2-1 (Group L)

*Ghana’s Derrick Luckassen scored the 200th goal of the 2026 World Cup. It is the first time in history that this total has been reached in a single edition of the competition.

*Petar Sučić became Croatia’s 2nd youngest goal-scorer in World Cup history (22 years and 245 days old, trailing only Joško Gvardiol (20 years 328 days, in 2022 vs Morocco).

*Sučić netted the 28th goal from outside the box at the 2026 World Cup: the most since the 1994 edition (30).

*Croatia became the 5th nation at the 2026 World Cup with the multiple goals scored from outside the box (2), as many as Senegal and Cabo Verde, behind Sweden (4) and France (3).

*Ivan Perisic made his 20th appearance for Croatia at the World Cup, all of which have come as starts.
The only outfielders to make more appearances with 100% of them as starts are:
Paolo Maldini (Italy, 23),
Diego Maradona (Argentina, 21),
Uwe Seeler (Germany, 21).

*Luka Modrić and Ivan Perišić have played their 20th game together for Croatia in the World Cup, equaling the competition’s record of the pair Grzegorz Lato and Władysław Żmuda (20 games for Poland played together).

*Luka Modrić became the oldest player to register an assist at a World Cup (40 years and 291 days).
The previous record was held by Edin Džeko, also in this edition (vs Qatar, at 40 years and 109 days).
