*Qatar (10) has become the team to have conceded the most goals at the 2026 World Cup, surpassing Tunisia (9).
*Qatar became the 4th national team in the history of the World Cup to score an own goal in two consecutive matches, after:
Bulgaria in 1966 (vs Portugal and vs Hungary)
Nigeria in 2014 and 2018 (vs France and vs Croatia)
Russia in 2018 (vs Uruguay and vs Spain)
*Hasan Al-Haydos has scored his first World Cup goal in his 188th match for Qatar (he has 42 goals overall).
*Al-Haydos has become the second Qatari player in history to score at the World Cup, following Mohammed Muntari in 2022.
*At the age of 35 years and 195 days, Al-Haydos became the 2nd oldest Asian goalscorer in the history of the World Cup, trailing only Ramin Rezaeian who set the record just 9 days ago (for Iran vs New Zealand at 36 years 86 days).
