*Arsenal have reached the Champions League semi-finals in back-to-back seasons for the first time in their history.
*Sporting had won their last 17 home competitive matches before losing to Arsenal.
*Arsenal’s Max Dowman has played in the first leg at the age of 16 years 97 days); he became the youngest to appear in a match, from the quarter-finals onwards, in the history of the Champions League.
Real Madrid vs Bayern 1-2, 3-4 (agg 4-6)
*Bayern Munich have won Champions League games against Real Madrid for the first time since 2012, breaking their negative 9-game run in this rivalry (2 draws, 7 losses).
*Real Madrid broke their run of 11 successful European knockout ties (10 in UCL, 1 in Super Cup) against German opponents that lasted since 2014.
They eliminated Bayern 4 times, Borussia Dortmund and Schalke twice, Wolfsburg, Eintracht and Leipzig once during this streak.
The last time Real Madrid lost a knockout tie against a German opponent was in the 2012-13 Champions League (semi-final against Borussia Dortmund, 1-4 and 2-0).
*Bayern are the second team to trail 3+ times and still win a Champions League match, following Manchester United in April 2003, who also did so in the quarter-finals against Real Madrid (4-3).
*Bayern have won after trailing at half-time in the Champions League for the first time since 7 March 2017 (vs Arsenal)

*Bayern have scored in their last 46 competitive matches. They last failed to score on 5 July 2025 in the Club World Cup quarter-final against Paris Saint-Germain on (a 0-2 defeat).
*Manuel Neuer has now 137 Champions League starts for Bayern; only Iker Casillas, for Real Madrid (149), has made more for a single club. Lionel Messi with 136 UCL starts for Barcelona is now third.
*Harry Kane’s goal in the first goal was his first scored from outside the box in the Champions League.
*Kane has now 12 goals in this UCL edition: the new record for English players in a single Champions League campaign. Kane beat his own record from last season (11).
*Kane became just the 2nd English player to score have in five consecutive Champions League games, after Steven Gerrard in 2007-08 (for Liverpool).
*Arda Güler’s first goal in the 2nd leg became the earliest in the Champions League this season (34 seconds) and the Real Madrid’s 2nd earliest in the European Cup/Champions League, after Hector Rial’s goal at 31 seconds against Antwerp in 1957.
Felo is now the third in this ranking (at 35 seconds against Juventus in 1962).
*After 6 minutes in the 2nd leg is the earliest any Champions League knockout stage match has ever seen both sides score.
*Arda Güler is just the third Real Madrid player to score 2 goals from outside of the box in a Champions League game, after:
Roberto Carlos (2000 vs Bayer Leverkusen),
Cristiano Ronaldo (2009 vs Zürich).
Barcelona vs Atlético Madrid 0-2, 2-1 (agg 2-3)
*Barcelona suffered the first defeat since their return to the Camp Nou, ending a run of 14 wins in 14 matches across all competitions.
*Barcelona became the first Spanish team in Champions League history to go 15 consecutive games without a clean sheet. They exceeded the similar runs of Villarreal (14), Deportivo (12) and Atlético Madrid (12).
*Diego Simeone has beaten Barcelona at Camp Nou for the first time as Atletico Madrid coach.
*Simeone became the first coach to eliminate Barcelona from the Champions League 3 times (also in the quarterfinals in 2014 and 2016). He surpassed Jose Mourinho who did so twice with Chelsea and Inter.
*Atlético Madrid have beaten Barcelona at Camp Nou for the first time since 5 February 2006 (3-1), ending a 25-game winless run on this ground.
*It’s also the first time they have won a Champions League away match against a Spanish opponent.
*Julián Alvarez has now scored 9 goals in this UCL edition: the most scored by a player in a single Champions League campaign for Atlético Madrid. He beat Diego Costa (8 goals in 2013-14)
*Lamine Yamal became the youngest ever player (18 years 275 days) directly involved in 10+ goals in a single Champions League campaign.
Paris St. Germain vs Liverpool 2-0, 2-0 (agg 4-0)
*Since the start of last season, PSG have eliminated English team from the Champions League on all five occasions (Liverpool twice, Aston Villa, Arsenal and Chelsea once each).
*PSG are the first French team in European Cup/Champions League history to reach the semi-finals in three consecutive seasons.
*Virgil van Dijk’s extended his personal run in the Champions League without a draw to 41 consecutive games.
